Reporting Concerns
The University of Alabama established the Office Compliance, Ethics and Regulatory Affairs (CERA) to support and coordinate compliance efforts across the University, including compliance in Research, Environmental Health and Safety, Title IX, and Clery Act reporting. The University of Alabama is committed to ethical conduct and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and CERA serves to support these commitments.
All members of the University community are responsible for ensuring we operate with honesty and integrity. If you suspect a violation of laws, rules, regulations, or policies affecting the university community, please visit the link below and follow the instructions to make a report, which may be anonymous.
How to Report
The University strongly encourages staff and other members of the University community to report concerns of misconduct such as financial reporting or irregularity, internal control, misappropriation, research matters, and intercollegiate athletic violations, through normal lines of communication.
Routine discussion with one’s supervisor is the preferred method of resolution. If this is not satisfactory, alternatives are: Human Resources, business unit management, or the appropriate office such as CERA, Environmental Health and Safety, Internal Audit, Equal Opportunity Programs, Research Compliance or University Counsel.
