How to Report
The University strongly encourages staff and other members of the University community to report concerns of misconduct such as financial reporting or irregularity, internal control, misappropriation, research matters, and intercollegiate athletic violations, through normal lines of communication.

Compliance and Fraud Hotline
The University of Alabama (“University”) has contracted with Navex, to provide you with a simple, anonymous way to confidentially report activities that may involve certain improper conduct or violations of the University’s Policies. The Compliance and Fraud Hotline can be used for either direct or anonymous reporting.
Types of situations that may be reported to the Hotline
- Ethics and compliance issues, such as financial reporting, abuse of resources, misuse of funds, inappropriate dealings with a vendor, etc.
- Financial Matters – Accounting or internal control issues, fraud, theft or other financial issues
- Human Resources – The unauthorized release or use of confidential information, data privacy, copyright violations or other waste or abuse of resources or information
- Information Systems – Activities related to hacking, password sharing, unauthorized access to systems or networks, software copyright violations, etc.
- Research – All issues dealing with research programs and funding
- Loss prevention and asset protection, such as threats, intimidating behavior and acts of violence, alcohol/drug abuse, theft or intentional misuse of abuse of University property, etc.
- Safety/Environment – Vandalism of alarm systems, fire extinguishers and other safety equipment, unsafe working conditions, environmental issues, etc.
