What is Ethics in Eight?
Ethics in Eight is a completely voluntary training program that is meant to raise awareness about the University’s Code of Ethical Conduct. The program has evolved each year, but our goal is to provide “byte”-sized training opportunities that can fit into anyone’s schedule. This year’s upgrades include:
- Ein8 Core Modules: We will introduce a brand-new core module on the 8th day of each month. Each one will focus on a different standard from the Code of Ethical Conduct and take no more than 8 minutes to complete.
- Ein8 Bonus Content: Each month we will add new options to the Bonus Content catalog. Choices will include LinkedIn Learning courses and live instructor-led training options.
- Downloadables: We will also share additional reference material on our Compliance & Ethics Channel in UA LMS.

Reward Shop
Because the Ethics in Eight program is completely voluntary, we believe in rewarding those who make time to participate. The reward shop will open in August.
Here are the rules:
- To keep things as fair as possible, participants may redeem their virtual coins for a maximum of one item of each type while supplies last.
- Reward requests must be submitted through the Reward Shop in UA LMS.
- All rewards will be sent to the participant via Campus mail to the individual’s campus box number as listed in Banner. Individuals who do not work on campus must email compliancetraining@ua.edu at the time the reward is requested to make alternate arrangements.
- Coins earned in previous years do not count toward this year’s rewards.
- All questions related to the reward shop should be directed to compliancetraining@ua.edu. Please do NOT use the contact option in the LMS.
